The Upper Red Lake Area Association is administering the KEEP IT CLEAN 2025 grant to support public education, outreach, and responsible winter recreation practices that help keep garbage and waste off the ice and out of Upper Red Lake.
Ice is no place for garbage and waste. Every angler, fish house user, resort, outfitter, business, visitor, and community partner has a role in protecting Upper Red Lake.

Clean Water Protection
KEEP IT CLEAN 2025 supports public awareness and prevention efforts to reduce garbage, litter, and waste left on the ice before it can enter Upper Red Lake during snowmelt and spring thaw.
Responsible Winter Recreation
The project promotes respectful winter lake use by sharing clear reminders with anglers, fish house users, visitors, businesses, and local partners.
